I'm a bigger fan of Moustakis than most, but I agree - giving up on Maikel at this point is rough.

From AP yesterday :
Franco has four home runs in his last 14 games after hitting just one in his previous 26 games

Money is not be an issue at this point and moustskas improves the team. At some point you have to signal to your fan base that you want to win - you cant go into next season again with one of the worst offensive 3b in baseball. Plus you can probably outspend teams to get moustskas - not sure about machado (if he gets to FA)
I would rather see you lose than win myself

With a revolving and very lousy group at 1B for the Yankees this year, I hope there is a Tommy Joseph/Yankees deal in the works. MAkes sense for both teams.

Moustskas is not going to move the needle.

Tommy Joseph is a replacement-level 1B, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Joseph's 303 OBP is a pretty big stumbling block for another team to get over.

I had to stop watching whatever they are yesterday...I do it most games now.

It's pathetic. People joke about it but Lehigh Valley would win games against this shit.

Agreed, but they don't have anything close to that at the moment, a surplus of prospects and he doesn't move the payroll (even the Yankees care about this). I don't expect anything great, but he has value and even a bit of upside.

Their primary 1st basemen has been Chris Carter, who's now been DFA'd twice and has a .203/.283/.374 slash line at 30 yrs old.

we're just victims of a statistical anomaly. I'm only half joking- that should correct, much like BABIP. But it should only correct towards our aggregate BA, not MLB average.

I woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning I guess because there is no excusing any of this anymore. It's not even a major league team and the coaching staff should be coaching high school baseball or something.

Should we sign Yu Darvish this offseason? He's almost 31 and has been a top 10 pitcher in baseball since returning from TJ a year ago: https://twitter.com/Evan_P_Grant/status ... 5644623872

New compensation rules for 2017 would have us losing a 3rd round pick, not 2nd. That would still sting but not as much. There's also a chance he gets traded and we won't have to give up a comp pick. Either way, I'd give him a big contract.

it doesn't seem to work for us (lee signing), but I guess if you have lots and lots of money to spend and don't care about that, sure

1- Darvish
2- Nola
3- Eickhoff
4/5- Pivetta, Lively, VV, Eflin, AAA guys, Free Agent

That's still pretty meh, yikes. Need Nola to keep this up and Eickhoff to come back strong.

Id rather sign the Japanese Babe Ruth.

Not to mention the morbidly creepy feeling it gives me to witness the slowly dimming light of perception in eyes, interrupted only by an evanescent flickering of understanding that causes his brow to wrinkle in puzzlement.
