Same as tonight, right? And their first AB will be against Price.

Exactly - advantage Phillies from the get go. For those who didn't want to even start the game, how would that be better than having us (at home) with an extra inning to hit in a shortened game?

Sure, but I like our chances with three innings of Madson and Lidge versus four innings of their bullpen.

MLB is a farce and Selig is a joke. But we got 6 good innings out of Hamels. The score is tied, we get 4 AB's and the Rays only 3 and we have Madson, Romero (who has yet to give up a hit, let alone a run, in the post-season) and Lidge to cover the last 3 innings. I sucks that the celebration has been interrupted, but I'm liking our situation.

Just got home. I was at McFadden's for the game. Paid 30 bucks to get in. It was awesome. When they put the tarps on the field we were able to sneak in to the stadium and walk around. Never saw any of the BSG tailgaters.

I am beyond disspointed. I told my buddy as we were driving up there that it seemed too good to be true. There was a mass migration to Philly tonight, not just at the stadium, but bars and houses across the area. I am disspointed that I won't be able to be a part of that again. A lot of people won't.

I don't know what else to say. I am so bummed.

I still think they should not have started the game, as I would have preferred more Cole and it was ridiculously optimistic to think they could get this in (no matter what Bud says), but the extra inning to hit in what is essentially a short game (assuming no extras) is an advantage.

Well, it'll be our bullpen vs. Price, you can pretty much bank on that.

/admittedly, the offense got to him last time ... twice.

I do too. The closing of the ESPN chat was the fact that the 4 innings vs. 3 gives us a 61% chance of winning, which is what we were at before first pitch.

I'm just pissed we have to go though this all again. And I'm really pissed at how the top of the 6th was handled.

Only because the Rays were given an extra at-bat tonight, with the Phillies handicapped by the sloppy field.

this is what i dont get. how was that last inning easier for the rays than the phillies? i dont think thats really true. im going to bed. but before i do, i really how to understand how it was the fields fault that upton got a ridiculous jump on cole and pena hit a really tough pitch on the outside corner to tie the game...

because the inning should have never happened, that's all anyone is saying, if you want to stop the game, stop the game, rollins fields upton's ball if not for the conditions

didnt think about the rollins play. but even if he fields that, on a perfectly dry field, he isnt getting upton... i dont think. but yeah, that is the play i guess we could say was affected by the field.

the entire game shouldnt have been played, so i dont care that they played the 6th. i dont think any ball was affected by the field. id have to really get a good wide angle of the upton basehit though... but im pretty sure he was going to beat it out.

thanks though, im just trying to understand why i should be outraged... cause im not.

here is the play by the way.. i dont think the field affected it http://mlb.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200810273649501

the ball bounced true and jimmy never even got the hand to the ball so i dont see any slippery ball issues either...

and on top of that, i think upton can beat that out...

After we kick their asses in the resumed game, which is GOING to happen, we can ONLY have one of two headlines:

1: Post-pwned!

or

2: The Price is Wrong, Bitch!

Right now, the wind is blowing from the north, which would hinder balls to left field and do strange things to balls hit to right.

I expect to get an email from MLB later, explaining that the game was postponed with the Phillies trailing 2-2.

When you walk, through a storm, hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm, there's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
