Don't know how that jives with the strategy, but he's much more a known quantity than someone we pick next season a few slots higher.
Saying he's a good asset is saying you think he's likely to retain surplus trade value at a 15mm salary. is this really true?
we've talked about MCW's trade value at length and his salary is ~5mm

his cap hit won't preclude us from re-signing all of MCW, Noel, and Embiid even if all three magically become All-Stars and even if next year's pick is a clean Len Bias, his next contract would be kicking in when Bledsoe's is expiring

Michael Redd or something?

i just think of bledsoe as a lillard-style PG. attacking player who shoots most of his three attempts off the dribble or if big goes under screen on high P&R
but i didn't watch him play much last season admittedly. did they use him in more catch and shoot type spots?

a shootah in like Klay, Wesley Matthews, Bradley Beal, young Joe Johnson. Basically a real good shooter.

not really, most of his 3s came from the top of the key in the exact situation you described (off he dribble when big went under screen on high p&r). but that is a more difficult skill to teach/coach than catch and shoots, imo
