Tanking Is Bad and LeBron Is Good: A Sixers/LeBron Thread

I could see Noel having the sort of defensive impact Noah does but their games seem very different as Napalm pointed out. Looking at the most elite shot blockers, a lot of them have lower rebounding rates (presumably because of positioning). Alonzo Mourning has the highest BLK% in the hall of fame, and his rebounding percentage is around 16, on the low end for a center. Mourning with better kidneys is a fun ceiling to think about

Noel's body is much closer to Manute Bol than Alonzo Mourning tho.

Noel is pretty clearly more comfortable working away from the paint, facing the basket, and surprisingly trying to break his man off the dribble. He's kinda like a weird, slightly discombobulated SF on offense. He's still a bit of a spaz, but I can see him learning to slow down. His ankles are super skinny. I'm a bit worried about him, frame wise.

I would just see Bledsoe as the 2 guard next to MCW. he can shoot and defend. his height is pretty mitigated by his huge wingspan (I just sorted DX's tables and everyone around him is guys like Butler and Shumpert). can have MCW guard the taller opposing guard if you like

if he isn't a fit with MCW, I don't know who is. not like there's anyone who shoots so well they'll make Williams better at it

I think he'd help their development by letting the team play a somewhat competent offense while maybe costing us 3 or 4 spots of draft position

i'm not worried that he's gonna break in half or anything. watching him through summer league and he seems to be comfortable in his own body. He can still be a skinny guy and be effective, he's got the athleticism to get up and go get it if he gets backed up too far into the post. He'll learn to use his smarts better at the NBA level and not shuffle around as much. Right now he's in zero gravity, but if he can control that bounciness of his, it'll be scary for the opposition. I mean, i'm confident he will, he's just getting in shape right now. Pretty impressive he's able to come back after a year off and live up to the hype so far

is he a knockdown shooter though? not many attempts before last year in the "permanent NBA2K three point lineup" offense

i just think 15mm is a lot of monies

landed on and rolled his ankle last night with like 3 minutes left in the game. went to the bench to do some frog squats and then was put back in the game like 30 seconds later. dudes a pretzel

i'm tellin ya!!

he really is a great defender, tho. him and MCW would average like 5 steals a game. obviously the big concern is that he's been hurt and missed half the season in 2 out of his 4 seasons so far

but it would be nice to have an actual 2-guard even though he's not a terrific shooter

would signing him be worth taking a chunk out of the cap flexibility we have?

This is extremely early (and means nothing), but I love that NBA.com already has a ROY power rankings, and that Noel is knocking on Jabari's door for the #1 spot:

Noel is a surprisingly good passer from the high post. HAWES like, minus being a douche

we would still have a ton and it's becoming pretty clear that that space isn't worth much in terms of acquiring picks since it isn't scarce around the league

why aren't ppl good at 2 guard anymore in america

shouldn't coaches just make their promising SF prospects stop growing
