right to disconnect in France:
A new labor law that took effect on Sunday gives employees the "right to disconnect" from email, smartphones and other electronic leashes once their working day has ended.
"These measures are designed to ensure respect for rest periods and ... balance between work and family and personal life," the Ministry of Labor said in a statement.
The rule requires companies with 50 or more employees to negotiate new out-of-office email guidelines with staff. Firms have a duty to regulate the use of emails to ensure employees get a break from the office.
If management and staff cannot agree on new rules, the firm must publish a charter to define and regulate when employees should be able to switch off.

you may not have watched Hannity, but someone did:

Julian Assange said "a 14 year old could have hacked Podesta" - why was DNC so careless? Also said Russians did not give him the info!

had a convo with a guy at work. said he didn't know there was a law saying they had to do work while on vacation. then followed it up with that its taking away the ability for people to work harder to get ahead. we had a civil discussion about it and why i thought it had good implications. he wasn't convinced

Yep, the typo that changed the course of 21st Century American history.

I think the DNC needs to follow Putin and Cheeto's lead and stop using email. It is possible to communicate without it.

I'm not sure I agree with that conclusion. I think Trump and his online rats would have had enough negative dirt on Hillary to reinforce this notion that she wasn't trustworthy with or without the Russian's meddling.

it was definitely a narrative before the emails. how can you trust a woman who has been seeking power for 30 years?!

agreed but they had a huge effect with information that trickled out for months. the narrative was so much easier to maintain with the leaks.

exactly. emails reinforced and supported, they did not create.

Paul Ryan just wants to make poor children feel better by getting rid of their government help

"This reminds me of a story I heard from Eloise Anderson. She serves in the cabinet of my friend Governor Scott Walker. She once met a young boy from a poor family. And every day at school, he would get a free lunch from a government program. But he told Eloise he didn't want a free lunch. He wanted his own lunch—one in a brown-paper bag just like the other kids'. He wanted one, he said, because he knew a kid with a brown-paper bag had someone who cared for him."

story wasn't true, but that doesn't matter since he wanted it to be

perhaps we shouldn't demonize help from the government. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
