GOP has 'hinted' they are keeping it on everything except SC nominations. game-changer, if true.

Yeah I'm not sure even this GOP wants to go down that route with presidential appointees. I guess we'll see.

WRT the Independent Ethics Watchdog -

It sounds like there are problems that need to be reformed, but the concept is completely valid. So *if* the procedure is broken, then it needs to be fixed, not gutted. From all accounts it might have a deep flaw with how it does its business, but this is easy to address as this exists across government, and in businesses of any size. Investigations are well understood... as is the need for anonymous submission. The act of investigation weeds out problem accusations.

Even this GOP doesn't need to go down this road, because Harry Reid, who is no longer a US Senator!, already did.

That would not appear to be a particularly pragmatic choice for the GOP if they wish to maintain control of the House in '18.

i word things poorly; i mean they are going to 'repeal' but leave things as is for 2 years and tinker through HHS until they announce a replacement that will go into effect in 2019. by then you are in full 2020 campaign mode and can use all the silly 600 job announcements and traitor dems ads and their voters will follow.

all-time high enrollment for the ACA, 6.4 million through healthcare.gov, many more through other means

uninsured rate down to 8.9%

But this week the Obama administration said about 6.4 million Americans, or 400,000 more than at this point last year, have signed up for ACA coverage that begins Jan. 1, 2017. The 6.4 million comes from those Americans who signed up through the federal healthcare.gov web site and doesn’t account for residents of states like California, Colorado and New York that operate their own marketplaces. Millions more have signed up for, or renewed, coverage via those marketplaces, according to media reports.

But in key markets, like Florida, where some insurers such as UnitedHealth Group and Aetna are leaving the market, Obamacare enrollment is up by double-digit percentages. In Florida, enrollment is up 14% this year to nearly 1.3 million even with fewer choices compared to the same open enrollment window last year, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said.

Florida Blue appears to be a big benefactor of the enrollment surge in the state. "We are well ahead of our projections for this enrollment period," Florida Blue spokesman Paul Kluding said.

get your coverage while you can!
