About 10x more people watch one of the three nightly news broadcasts than the top rated show on FNC on any given night, but sure

But isn't that the ultimate ad hominem -- that someone's sibling or even a previous career has to influence their coverage significantly? Not to mention that reporters have a lot less clout than their high-level executives and media conglomerates.

But if it bothers conservatives that much, maybe go into journalism. As for me I'm definitely "liberal" but worked hard to write stories fairly and got angry calls from both sides of the aisle. The thing people don't seem to get is integrity and a curiosity for the world are the main things reporters strive for, the main thing they've got. Not bending the news or making money.

Stephanopoulos isn't on the nightly news broadcast other than the occasional sub assignment. He does their Sunday show and their morning entertainment show. Neither is Chuck Todd. What is your point?

Ok, didn't realize you were talking specifically about one of the 3 nightly news shows. My bad

Still stand by my general point that conservative media has massive reach and influence in this country

Fox news sets the media narrative and has for some time now because most everyone falls in line on the R side. They simply do. It also has an incredibly symbiotic relationship with the Republican party. This isn't the same with anywhere else at anywhere near the same level.

@realDonaldTrump
The "Intelligence" briefing on so-called "Russian hacking" was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!

I encourage the fucking morons who claim coastal liberals live in a smug echo chamber to spend any time reading the media that these smug, delusional, stupid, stupid echo chambers that Trump voters live in.

If Trump nominates someone with any ties to government or politics you criticize him for failing to drain the swamp. If he nominates someone from the corporate world you criticize him for failing to drain the swamp. If he nominates someone like Ben Carson, you criticize him for picking someone with no relevant experience.

You've set the rules so that anyone Trump nominates is automatically a bad choice.

the root of pacino's sarcasm or ire is the ridiculous lie that Trump sold the public that he'd be draining the swamp.

He set the rules, not me. Long time politicos aren't allowed, unless they are. Money and conflicts of interest aren't a good thing until they are. He's going to put the best people in, until he isnt.

So yes, there's different reasons to criticize different picks.

And yeah, I don't believe in the Republican philosophy of governance so I'm more inclined to dislike picks like Betsy DeVos or Scott Pruitt that want to defang the very agencies they're picked to head.

I was openly rooting for someone whom I disagree with to be picked SoS for the sake of the country. Trump went a vastly different way.

Omarosa is going to be a public liaison for Trump in the White House. it's a similar role to what Kal Penn had for President Obama. Great hire!
