Putin The Donald in the White House - Politics

Trump even lied about some Voice singer's standing on the Billboard charts. He can't stop. He won't stop. He. Must. Lie.

Maybe it's how he stays alive?

What's the percentage? How many total law professors are in the country? It seems like 1100 is a pretty small percentage of the total so I doubt this does/means anything.

You can find an article in the WaPo. Looks like it was coverage + big names (Harvard, Yale, Penn, &a Friends). I think it is news worthy enough. Includes prominent legal scholars including Laurence Tribe of Harvard Law School, Geoffrey Stone of the University of Chicago Law School, Pamela Karlan of Stanford Law School and Erwin Chemerinsky of the University of California, Irvine School of Law.

A total of 205 institutions are ABA-approved: 204 confer the first degree in law (the J.D. degree); the other ABA approved school is the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's School, which offers an officer's resident graduate course, a specialized program beyond the first degree in law.

Full list of names for black listing TBA. But, you know, stupid intellectuals and the like.

Honestly. Everyone does realize that the appearance of the Presidency becoming a dynastic office was a good part of the large hill Hillary had to climb?

one of us will incredulously post the GOP/Alex Jones talking point about how it's Obama's fault, and there will be little ripples of similar outrage all over the internet, and then all the guys that have bald eagle avatars and pictures of Panzer tanks as their background will buy it and vote for Trump again in 2020.

Was not an issue for John Quincy Adams, FDR, or Dubya.

The large HRC had to climb were four fold:

1. Approximately half the country has hated her guts for 25 years

2. She lacked charisma

3. She failed to mobilize the base

4. Russian interference

It became a populist election over a year ago when Trump and Bernie both started making noise. Being part of a political dynasty was a big hindrance to both her and Jeb! and was a significant part of why they both ultimately failed despite the leads they started with.

5. Being so cozy with investment banks for weird reasons

6. A pretty mediocre to bad record as a political servant

7. Her association with some of Bill's worst politics, most notably NAFTA

8. The confluence of the Clinton Foundation & her time a Sec of State

9. Shit ground game

10. Ignoring campaigning battleground states for still unclear reasons

11. A really stupid populace that hated her for really stupid conspiracies

12. Disaffected Bernie voters

I could go on....

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) Wednesday brought an oversized printout of a Donald Trump tweet onto the Senate floor Wednesday.

The former Democratic presidential candidate used the prop as a reference as he called on the president-elect to either veto any legislation to cut Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security or admit that he "lied" to the American people.

It's anything and everything. Any one thing here or there couldve kept this off. Whoever chose to expand thr map instead of listen to the ground game deserves some hell. But I'm past it at this point. Most of the people directly on that campaign will not be running any future campaigns, I would imagine.

I'm a little more concerned about how trump won. The Republican party is cuckoo.

my delusions in a Clinton win were rooted in a lot of things, mostly misguided faith in polling, but I also convinced myself Trump was such a fat, disgusting, dishonest, corrupt & stupid slob that most of America would be repulsed by him. I will give him credit for having more easily identifiable policies. Hillary didn't really control the policies conversation as well as past candidates.

Whatever. There were a lot of reasons Clinton lost, though also a lot of reasons why she should have won. My point was directly to the question of Michele Obama as a candidate, and that with a large part of the electorate with an attitude of "throw the bums out" and "Washington is broken" you start with a huge deficit when your candidate is so closely allied with a previous administration, and you don't get any closer than married to it. I'll make an exception for the family of John Quincy Adams. Enough time may have passed for that situation to have cooled down a bit. May

you left off that despite being a dreadful candidate almost 3 million more votes - over 2% of the vote total more - were bestowed on her, than on the "winner".
