one of us will incredulously post the GOP/Alex Jones talking point about how it's Obama's fault, and there will be little ripples of similar outrage all over the internet, and then all the guys that have bald eagle avatars and pictures of Panzer tanks as their background will buy it and vote for Trump again in 2020.

yeah, i was just being obtuse..obviously he had nothing and was blustering. it's amazing this stuff works on so many people. the logic just isn't there...why would he need to wait for hte briefing before he lets us know what HE says HE knows that the people briefing him don't know? it's all just obvious conman BS. i'm worried how easily so many people: 1. don't care 2. some are fooled by it!

you left off that despite being a dreadful candidate almost 3 million more votes - over 2% of the vote total more - were bestowed on her, than on the "winner".
The Trump “I Know Things Other People Don’t” revelations on so-called "14-year old, 400-pound-guy, sitting-on-a-couch-in-New-Jersey hacking" was delayed indefinitely perhaps more time needed to fabricate a new story. Very strange!

I can't believe that nobody mentioned that she also had the audacity to be female.

But unlike the Bush administration’s ruse leading up to the invasion of Iraq, it’s unlikely the Obama administration is manufacturing a case against Russia out of thin air. I know no one in the cyber security community who does not actually believe that cyber espionage operators involved in the hack of the DNC are indeed connected in some way to Russian intelligence.
In this case, rather than manufacture evidence, the U.S. government couldn’t organize itself to present it convincingly. The real problem here is not political subterfuge. It is, rather, symptomatic of a larger syndrome of how we as a society deal with cyber security issues today.
The NSA and other intelligence agencies have extraordinary capabilities that provide unparalleled visibility into digital networks, and especially the networks of their adversaries like Russia. Having spent many months closely examining the Snowden disclosures I can at least partially attest to their prowess in this regard. The data to which they have access would undoubtedly show precisely who did what, when, and how.

This is huge. Ralph Northam was going to get crushed in the general (for non-Virginians, he's our Lieutenant Governor, a position which does almost nothing except break ties in the Senate). At least now, he'll have to get his name out there for primaries and create actual support.
Even if Northam ends up winning the primary (he has a huge early fundraising lead), this will be a rare scenario where a contested primary is a good thing for the party, especially if it stays a two-person race.
