Trump swing in South Philly and Northeast. Center City moved more Dem. Turnout up in all three places, with huge falloff in more heavily minority parts of the city.

drumpf tweeting that a call from him to Ford execs got them to change plans to move Lincoln production to Mexico

Ford execs kind of perplexed because they never had any plans at any time to move any production of any Lincolns to Mexico

Didn't he also claim that NATO started paying up after he called them out?

Sir, you just don't interact with them as you live in your urban enclave. These rural voters have had enough.

pacino wrote:I normally put these in the Reading Eagle thread but this is explicitly political and thought it had an interesting tidbit (the rest is garbage, imo):

Harry J. Deitz Jr. was correct that we need to come together as one nation ("The voices of We the People have spoken," Reading Eagle, Nov. 13). However, he did not explain how we do that.

We need to stop putting everyone into small groups that separate us from each other, as the progressive, leftist presidencies of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have done for the last 24 years.

We need to stop looking at each other, and stop our government from looking at us, as hyphenated Americans. We should be just Americans first, foremost and always.

When we create a special interest group that gets special consideration from the government, we disassociate all those not in that group from any law or entitlement that the government bestows upon that group.

We need to stop looking at people as white, black, Latino, Asian, LGBT, Muslim, Evangelical Christian, pro-life, pro-choice, etc. Hillary Clinton came up with a new group, the Trump Deplorables. And the sad fact most people don't understand is that when they allow themselves to be put into one of these groups, it isolates them from the rest of the American populace.

We are a country of laws for everyone. We need to get back to the idea of "We the People" and away from the idea of, we the people of a special interest group that the professional politician needs to cater to for our vote to stay in office.

Wake up, America.

Lower Alsace Township

George W Bush is now a leftist progressive. They've taken their deeply unpopular two-term conservative Republican president and written him off as a leftist.

Lower Alsace Township is a township in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States.

As of the census of 2000, the racial makeup of the township was 96.56% White, 0.69% African American, 0.89% Asian, 1.12% from other races, and 0.74% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.84% of the population.

No wonder he doesn't want people looked at as as white, black, Latino, or Asian. There's only a few non-whites!

no mention of the alt right or bannon in this one. Prager is a 'serious, sober' conservative, btw. You could put his talk show on if the warm milk hasn't kicked in yet.

Only replying cause this scumbag is one of my dad's favorites for whatever reason. Prager literally thinks wives are basically sex slaves of their husbands and has written about said subject. Not surprisingly, he is twice divorced.

Does he have anything to do with those prag er u videos ?

Yes, but he's not an egomaniac or anything. He just has a bunch of 5 minute online videos that he's called a "university"

It's changed a decent amount since 2000, but historically yeah, it's been very very white. It's a 3 minute drive from the city of reading but in parts of it you wouldn't realize that.

I'm not even sure what is interesting about that map. BO had about a 490k advantage on Romney. Clinton did about 460.

That was about what they had hope for and expected.

I only used 2000 because no one bothered to update the Wikipedia page. Compared to some other towns in PA, that's practically diverse. A lot of the ones near my grandfather are like 98+% white.

Found 2014 data. 'Down' to 90% white. Some of that is latinos who identify as white. Hispanic population is about 15%.

I think it's interesting that even with the citywide dropoff in 16 vs. 12 margin, Dems got significant improvement in both margin and turnout in Center City and a few other outposts, while there were massive swings to Trump in other areas. Even if the overall vote didn't shift by a ton, there were things moving in different directions at more local levels.
