He supported the major legislative efforts of the George W. Bush administration, including the 2001 and 2003 tax cut packages, the Iraq War, and a proposed national amendment to ban same-sex marriage. He was one of 25 senators to oppose the establishment of Troubled Asset Relief Program. He has opposed the Democratic leadership since 2007 on most major legislation, including the stimulus bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act. As the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, he opposed all three of President Barack Obama's nominees for the Supreme Court.

I am hoping that some organization steps up some form of 'digital bill boards' around DC that just play the worst pats of these nominees in a look interspersed with broken campaign promises.

The prospect for a viable 3rd party have never looked better, but really it looks like a 5 way split could occur in the current structure given an unenviable prospect of the dysfunctional coalition government that a good bit of the world operates under.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions the III is one of only two people to ever be rejected for a federal judgeship by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Nuff said, no? There are good people out there, but the problem might be that those people don't want to be involved in this, after all I did pound Romney for meeting the the transition team.

do we actually have evidence that Don is still alive? he hasn't left Trump Tower for 5 days now and hasn't appeared before the press exactly as long.

but seriously, they allowed foreign press that was traveling with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe to take photos but not American press. President Ivanka is going to be running his business in a 'blind trust'. We should keep OUR eyes open.

"The direction of travel from Paris is indeed irreversible," South African Environment Minister Edna Molewa told reporters. "There can be no backtracking on commitments made by developed countries and no attempt to renegotiate the terms of the text agreed in Paris."
Brazil's chief climate negotiator, Jose Antonio Marcondes de Carvalho, had a similar message, saying Paris put the world on an "irreversible path" while China's top climate official Xie Zhenhua said the global trend toward a low-carbon economy is "irreversible."

Paris agreement ratified in the UK. There were no objections on either side. This is a non-partisan issue in most other countries.

it is scary how much misinformation and straight up lies are fed to the conservative base by these fake news outlets. general flynn yesterday tweeted out some garbage with the link being to truepundit.com, and then trump himself tweeted about "saving" the ford plant-- a blatant lie

And some of my really intelligent attorney friends are crowing about that Ford announcement. When I point out that Ford was simply telling Trump AGAIN that they didn't have plans to go anywhere, and that the UAW deal was negotiated in 2015, and provide a link to the September news stories where Ford fact-checked Trump's Mexico Ford plant claims... silence.

They don't care about facts.

A settlement might be coming regarding Trump U. Will pay 20-25 million and admit no wrongdoing. Cool!

I figured that might happen after the motion to continue. Typically the only reason a federal court would entertain such a motion this close to trial is because of assurances that the two sides are very close to settling, which isn't a reason you're going to put in text of the motion.

We don't know what Donald trump is invested in and in what countries.

Also, he's now elected to hire three racists/xenophobes as three of his first hires (Bannon, Flynn, Sessions). He certainly doesn't think economics is the reason he won. he's just gonna keep on #MAGA.
