Fascinating how your brain works if me posting one negative Hillary story for every ten negative Trump stories is demonstrating my pro-Trump leanings

Blumenthal is the worst Clinton-land person. I hope a reporter asks her 'will he be in your administration?' And I hope she says no.

I have no idea if he pushed the story, but I doubt clinton or anyone else did. He's not a great guy.

The coalition killed ISIL minister of information in a strike.

We also deployed several dozen special forces to the Turkish border to support Turkish and vetted Syrian rebel forces. It appears something big may be happening against ISIL after the ceasefire. Raqqa???that's pure conjecture, but with the YPG, Turks, syrian free army AND Russia and assad all joining forces around ISIL they may be doing something big after the 7 days.

Edit: I asked Laura Rozen, one of the best reporters covering the Middle east, and she does not think so. She said there are confusing signals but people dont think there is the manpower to hold Raqqa yet.

When's the last time our government bothered to worry about the aftermath of its military intervention?

Sort of. Stuff like this has been going on for 40 years.

Tim Kaine is a big proponent of war authorization, fwiw.

I feel like this "Trump has lost the election" narrative has happened at least a handful of times since the middle of the summer but then he comes back in the polls again. As many people have alluded to Trump has the support of a lot of people that aren't dumb rednecks. Half the executive team at my finance company are voting Trumo and they are supposedly "smart" and affluent people. It's weird.

It's crazy how lopsided this election would be if the Dems nominated literally anyone else.

Half the executive team at your company should be fired. They should never have been hired. They're appallingly bad judges of character; in fact, they're incapable of judging character. They have no business being employed by any actual business.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I just disagree. The false equivalence is in regards to Clinton vs Trump and it's important to point out. He makes it seem like it's 'horse race bs' and not about issues when IT'S ALL ABOUT ISSUES. people are pointing that out. They aren't saying to ignore migrant deaths; many of the same people also read about that or work on issues around that and other important things. And they want Clinton elected and to have a fair shake in the media so those issues will come to the forefront.

I think Taibbi is being a bullshit artist with that piece and painting people he disagrees with as devious political actors because he doesn't like Clinton. No, I'm voting for her because I care about women's health, equality, justice, and helping those less fortunate. And I'd like it if parts of thr fucking media treated Trump the way they treat Clinton and stopped grading him on a curve. He'd be asked to step down 10 times over if he were Romney, for example. I don't get why Taibbi has a problem with that. That isn't drawing away from other issues, it's actually demanding that Trump and his people respect those issues. This election isn't about issues because Trump has no plans, no issues, no policies. And parts of the media don't go 'WHAT THR FUCK ARE YOU EVEN GOING TO DO?!' And press him past the platitudes. Pinning him down on the birther issue is actually very good because it exposes him for all to see. It also exposes his base because they don't care about him as much as they care about voting against equality and progress and people not like them. They will shrug off his fake flip-flop on Obama, but the media's job is to show this bald-face move for what it is to show he is a con man with nothing to offer us, especially not ideas on the important issues. And this is important to point out. Taibbi should know this.

He called Joe Arpaio a dumb thing taking up space and compared him to a Kardashian. He is an elected official making life miserable for inhabitants of our nation. He's is a thug in clothing Arizona residents pay for. This is not a 'dumb thing'. Taibbi literally did a false equivalence! !!!!! No, I won't shut up about it, Matt.

In light of the most recent economic news it's hard to say what people are so damn angry about. The last thing you want to do is throw everything into chaos.

This is why the media frustrates me. This has been a false narrative from the start yet they keep saying it without actually being specific.

The right is angry because they fear globalization and their country is moving too far left with gay marriage, etc. The left is angry because Obama didn't go far enough to the left to get things done for them. It's also why Bernie Sanders was so popular in the primaries.

So this is not necessarily a call for change so when the media keeps pointing out that people want change or don't like the direction of the country and that's why Trump appeals to them, they're basically not telling you the whole truth.

Steve Cortes today on Joy Reid's show said that unlike past Republican nominees, Donald Trump is running an anti-racist campaign. jh, the Trump surrogates are now calling your boys Romney and McCain racists.
