do you agree with the implication that donations to the CF influenced decisions in the State Dept?

two factions:
1) its incendiary and irresponsible to suggest that the Clinton Foundation had improper influence on State Department decisions
2) of course the State Department made decisions based on donations to friendly institutions and campaigns; it's naive to think otherwise and unfair to count it as a mark against your average politician; everyone does it

the two groups never debate each other for obvious reasons

You didn't actually show improper influence, though. You simply said there was improper influence.

@davidminpdx
1. Something is going on in District Attorney elections. Voters are beginning to reject “tough-on-crime,” “law-and-order” candidates.

I believe that contributions made to the political campaigns and Super PAC's of our members of Congress and to our state attorneys general have resulted in significant preferential policies and decisions for the contributors. I've yet to be made aware of any significant policy or decision by the HRC Department of State which was influenced by contributions to the Clinton Foundation.

This woman was defeated for renomination tonight because a) she was redistricted out of her seat and b) she's under indictment (probably in that order - won over 60% of the vote in Duval County (Jacksonville) which was the heart of her old district))

I think there's a new one. 3) there's no evidence it caused any impropriety so I don't care.

JORGE RAMOS ‏@jorgeramosnews
It's a meeting between two of the most unpopular people for Mexicans: Trump and Peña Nieto.

PN could become quite popular if he confronts Trump, no?

You're such a cynic, Housh. I'm sure all those contributions were made because the Clinton foundation is the bestest charity out there. I doubt anyone even knew which Clintons it was named after. Probably figured George, or maybe DeWitt.

Mexicans are not happy about this visit. They're not happy with Pena Nieto.

This feels more and more like a stunt by the Mexican President to regain his popularity by confronting Trump.

This should make Hillary supporters nervous. A fight between a foreign leader and Trump could help both in their respective countries. The Mexican prez could take Trump's position apart piece by piece rationally, but might have more incentive to overdo it for his own gain, but in a way that makes it easy to spin for Trump for an American audience.

Amused by divide between reporters who assume Mexico visit will be a diplomatic coup for Trump!!! & those who assume it will be a shitshow. I'm #TeamShitshow, because come the fuck on, this is Donald Trump visiting Mexico with Rudy & Sessions on 2 days notice. But, we'll see.

I'll laugh if Trump comes back and claims that RN promised him (in private) that Mexico will pay for the wall.
