Spirit is getting Precheck too by the end of the year. I haven't come across one person who was flying spirit who was pissed they couldn't get Precheck NOR knew wtf it actually was.

Somehow spirit makes enough money to buy into the program though, real interesting.

The parents of one of my students from the middle east just had a meeting with me. He brought me dates. I've never liked dates that much, but these are just insanely good.

Also he said his kid is getting into Stanford if he gets above a 3.7 this year and he wants me to make sure he gets an A in my class. He's making a huge donation, of course, because the student is one of the laziest I've encountered, and a complete BS artist. My opinion of Stanford just went down.

Great dates, though

How's the kid doing in your class? I hope he earns a C but you give him a B.

did he frame it as "please kick my kid's butt and make sure he earns an 'A'" or "you need to give him an 'A'" ?

Is the donation to you directly?

It was more of the former. The problem is the kid is crazy lazy and fake friendly. I can ignore the fake kiss-up thing, but it's annoying. The other issue is more of a problem. But the class is the easiest of all the math classes, so he should be able to get an A with some work. I have been directed to keep the class relatively easy (not because of any particular student).

I'm 90% sure I could get 10k from him if I asked him under my breath, probably a good bit more.

would love to check out the City Museum, although I don't know if I'd need to rent a kid.
