Blaming dems who are switching parties to vote Rep even a little bit is just ridiculous. Trump is killing the field pretty much everywhere. He's yours. Own him.

You can get whatever satisfaction you want from it. I would be enjoying some alternate reality where we were nominating someone decent and Bernie Sanders was posting 40-30-30 wins over a stubborn Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden duo where neither would duck out for the good of the party.

I don't know how you think it's ridiculous to blame Dems switching to vote for Trump at least a little bit. They weren't on my list of people responsible for the rise of Trump, but surely anyone voting for him at this point is culpable as well.

That number has to be negligible. That's like 6th on the list of reasons Trump is the leader.

I don't think it's a big number, and I would guess there are many more Democrats voting for Rubio/Kasich out of Trump fear than those voting for Trump out of schadenfreude/Operation Chaos reasons. But they exist, and if Trump gets elected I hope they feel like crap.

Bill Clinton went around to polling places in Massachusetts with a megaphone and thanked people for showing up to vote, particularly those who were voting for Hillary. His planned stops had security barricades blocking people from getting to the polls. Reports are that people were held up for hours in some places.

My distaste for Clinton has reached critical mass. If the election was held today, I'd vote for literally anyone who was running against her.

If another country had one side closing off polling places to hold rallies for one side, we'd probably invade them.

Come on dude. Russia has fixed every election it has ever had. We haven't invaded them lately.

Also, I'd withhold judgement on whether this was intentional in some way. How could he distinguish between Hillary and Bernie voters while setting up shop? And Hillary was polling ahead in MA anyway I thought.

Yeah I heard this. That would come close to clinching it for Trump, or killing Rubio, or something, right? It gives him a reason to drag on, and if Rubio doesn't win VA/MN, that's gonna leave him in a real bad place.

The Lieutenant Governor of Texas is on NBC and what a douchebag. He's sitting here pointing out that 3 out of every 4 Ted Cruz voters when polled say they will vote for Trump if Cruz drops out, while 2 out of every 3 Rubio voters will vote Cruz if Rubio drops out... so Rubio has to drop out to keep Donald Trump from winning!!!!!11!11! It's vitally important that Donald Trump not win!!!!! Vote Ted Cruz!!!!!!!

Never mind that the same people who are voting for Cruz would vote for Trump.

What the hell.

Serious question for jerseyhoya or any other Republicans who might be checking in: do you honestly prefer a brokered convention and minority nominee to a Trump win? I know jersey you have sort of answered that question... but honestly, the former probably rips the party in half, whereas the latter probably, yes, results in a thumping Democratic victory (though I am not sure of anything anymore), and the ultimate argument against anyone in the party ever trying anything like this again. Yes, there is a chance that Trump wins... but as I said earlier, I myself have literally no idea what that would mean. JFLNYC warns Trump + a Republican congress might be a lethal combination... maybe, but from what I hear Mitch McConnell has already started planning for a Trump nomination by suggesting to fellow Republican senators that they can run against Trump, and just assume Trump will lose. If they take that tack, and Trump wins - something tells me that he will look to take it out on them by doing the opposite whatever they want (liberal stuff?). I mean, the whole thing is nuts, who knows what would happen.

I generally stay out of the political threads, but wtf is up with this whole trump bullshit? I don't like a lot of the republican stances in general, but if Rubio or Cruz becomes president, I don't think it would damage the country, I wouldn't like a lot of what they do, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. If Trump somehow wins this thing though, I would legitimately be afraid for our country.

Personally I think you should be more afraid of Cruz. I'm not even sure Donald knows what Donald actually believes.
