About the same era, I let slip that someone was leaving my employer's employ, in front of the chief representative of said employer, before job-leaver had broached that news to her.

Probably would have been better had I not divulged this information in a staff meeting at which job leaver was present. Hey, I thought EVERYone knew already (though I had no specific reason for thinking so)....

Job leaver was surprisingly sanguine about my over-sharing; her new job was markedly superior to her present one, and happily, my unauthorized newsflash did not crater the new job for her.

It got quite the reaction from many of my colleagues, who thereafter would basically only talk with me about the weather...

i knowww. that's so convincing. the strains are just so strong though, i feel cloudy into the next day. i could even it out by going for a run.
