today was my first ever memorial service speech.

I've spent countless hours public speaking in many, many venues- radio DJ; basketball PBP on radio; baseball/basketball PA announcer; full bands; solo acoustic; mobile/wedding DJ; technology products presenter; etc.

today was the first time I ever felt really nervous.

Are there stories besides the alleged madonna thing?

There is a cat that hangs around our house sometimes, our property backs up to a big farm so I figure it's a farm cat from there. It will be chilling out on our deck our looking in the the French doors, or lounging on the ramp into the shed in the sun. If I'm outside and it's around it will follow me around and meow at me, I pet it and play with it and it seems to like me but we don't put food out or anything like that. So today, I was taking down all the outside Christmas decorations and it was hanging around me while I was working, it followed me into the garage and it was cating around in the garage jumping on the shelves and stuff then it starts getting all stealthy and interested in spot under one of the shelves we've got out there. Finally it goes to attack mode and drags out a bunch of mice that had built a nest under the shelves. So anyway, long story short we have a cat now.

Holy shit. Maybe three days of Disney wasn't the best idea before a marathon. MFP alleges I've walked an average of 9.5 miles each day.

i love horseradish. i love having my nose/sinus' blown to pieces when i get a big chunk of it. That and Wasabi are some of my favorite 'condiments'

zayda's is more of a philly thing, a microbrewer amongst hot condiment providers. It was started by on guy, a comedian who goes by "the pickle man" because his other flagship product is hot pickles. He used to make them himself and go around himself selling & delivering. I remember Steve coming into a bar I worked at in the early 80s with his pickles & horseradish. Fun guy.

He's got 38 products in his catalog now, so I imagine it's more than just him now. Kelchner's is fine stuff (and I do use it a lot because Zayda's isn't everywhere) and surely is hands down better than any national brand, but if you ever see it pick up some Zayda's.
