Yeh, I'm not sure I agree with his conclusion, but it's a really interesting study. What could be causing the increased substance abuse? I would suspect declining wages/quality of life and hopelessness, but I'm not sure the study shows that either

Homosexual marriage is not mentioned in the Bible. Homosexual acts to honor pagan gods is, but that's different.

If you just follow the word of Jesus, you are doing well. It's not easy but it's a great goal to have in my view. Jesus said nothing about homosexuality. It must not be all that high on the list of sins -- if it's a sin at all.

There's a lot of old times rules and laws that Jesus essentially said we should forget about. He said there was a new way. Love God and love your neighbor. That kind of stuff. Look at the Sermon on the Mount. Good stuff there.

despite his moderate rhetoric, he's done more to close down clinics that help women than anyone else. and he's done it through restrictions that are unnecessary on the clinic, on the woman, and scientifically unsound.
