If this becomes a four-way battle between Trump, Cruz, Carson and Rubio, then Rubio will get the nomination. The GOP moneymen always get what they want, and they don't want Trump, Cruz or Carson.

The only person who I've seen pull this off was Jesse Ventura in Minnesota back in the 90's.

A Trump win will cost very powerful people billions. They have absolutely no clue what to do at this point.

I'm taking a cue from our resident professionals and discounting polls in favor of actual primary votes. Surely Carson will stick around to see what happens in actual primaries - what's he have to lose by doing that?

none of these fools is going to win anything really important, B

but in terms of personal enrichment/aggrandizement, Carson's got no incentive to go anywhere, even finishing down the list when the real voting starts

why, if he plays his cards right, he might just wind up as some other R candidate's choice for surgeon general 8-)

I could actually see Carson trying to name Jesus his VP. "If anything happens to me, who better to take the wheel?" he'd say monotonously with a dead 1000 yard stare on his face.
