Absolutely none. Her legal council is arguing using a Bible while the rest of the legal system is interpreting the Constitution and US Law.

If you know much about the Bible, you know it doesn't support her position either.

The parts that they choose to care about do! They do seem to be ignoring a large chunk of Biblical content, though.

I believe that nothing in the Bible really supports their view. Ancient pagan types who weren't homosexuals did homosexual acts to honor their pagan gods. The bible passages are referring to that stuff. I don't believe there is anything about lesbians at all.

It would be very cool if some smart guy or gal did and actual analysis of homosexuality in the Bible and publicize it well. We're talking about a few sentences if I remember correctly.

I think you won't change all of the anti gay thumpers' minds. But some folks might be enlightened.

One of my big things is that Jesus said nothing about homosexuals. He condemned a lot of behavior. But not homosexuality. I find that to be quite telling.

There might be three references to homosexuality in the New Testament. It's not very clear. When put into historical context, it gets even fuzzier. In at least one case, Paul is condemning the brutal rape of boys by adult men. Not really a homosexual relationship.

If being against homosexuality was a big deal to the authors of the Bible or to Jesus, you'd think there would be a clear condemnation of gay folks. If you really dig in and make some leaps of interpretation I guess you can conclude being a homosexual is a sin and all that jazz. I prefer to read the red part of the Bible -- the stuff about Jesus and what he said. If I can live up to his words, and other parts of the Bible that encourage things like peace, love and understanding, I'll be pretty happy. Getting all worked up so you can hate someone based on some fuzzy interpretation of a few verses gets in the way of being a good Christian in my view.
