which poll? The most recent Monmouth one shows them tied at 23% with Fiorina at 10%, Crutz at 9% and Walker at 7%.

It's important to keep in mind these polls may be quite off. I know you all read Nate religiously, so I won't go into the whys, but there's every reason to discount these findings. Now that doesn't mean that Pataki has a chance, but it's quite likely that systematic problems with the polls (how they handle cell phones v. landlines, likely voter screens) could be very distorting, especially with such a large field as the Reps. have. Even a fairly small error can make a big difference--consider Monmouth has Fiorina 3rd with 10%, while the Des Moines register has her 7th, with 5% of the vote.

The margin of error in most polls have been like 5-10%...

Federal judge tells Kim Davis, a county clerk in Kentucky, to stop denying marriage licenses because she hates gay people. She'll be in contempt if she continues this path.

Fwiw, she's been divorced three times.

Elected official. Can't just be fired. Isn't it weird a job like that is elected? Same in PA.

The more crazy part is that she was elected as a Dem. That level of elected official in KY is often a conservative "dem", so between that and the elected R's there doesn't seem to be a lot of variety

Appalachia is one of the most conservative parts of the country, regardless of party. Joe Manchin is a Democratic Senator from West Virginia.

She can be removed by the state government, but since it's Kentucky, it's mostly filled with wackos who agree with her or in some cases, thinks what she's doing is righteous.

Agreed. I got really excited and posted it before I read it. I'm starting to think maybe Bernie will end up winning a majority of the black support, though. I can't really see them being too fond of Clinton. The O' Malley regime caused a lot of the problems that are coming to a head in Baltimore. Maybe if Biden enters they go to him?

Fair enough, but she's been bleeding support for the 3 weeks since that article was written. Bernie, on the other hand, has gained a lot of praise for repeatedly reaching out to BLM. Again, the polling on this is all pretty terrible and we won't really know where the support lies until after Iowa and NH.

it's like county coroner. How the @#$% are you supposed to know who to vote for? Can we at least have a debate and find out who has read more Patricia Cornwell paperbacks??

They will first encounter black voters in South Carolina - or maybe Nevada caucuses, but that will be very low turnout/no good data.

And the idea Bernie is going to do better than Hillary among black voters is ludicrous.

Let's be honest... no one really enjoys admitting that their preferred candidate is going to get crushed in an entire demographic slice. I remember thinking that Ron Paul could maybe win the anti-war black vote. :)
