I actually don't remember ever having a Brazil nut that wasn't rancid. Probably because we only ever had them at holidays, in a nut bowl that was probably refilled from the same bag that my parents bought in 1979 every year until I went to college in 1993. Hazelnuts (they're called fucking filberts, people) aren't especially good, but hazelnut butter is awesome. Walnuts are pretty good when they're fairly fresh, and toasted. Almonds are pretty good, even better in almond butter.

Anyway, I went to the grocery store while hungry and surprisingly bought more "healthy" foods than I normally do. I made sure to balance it out with some pork roll, though.
