Ankara is the capital of Turkey. If you go due west from Ankara the first country you hit is Greece. If you go due north it's Ukraine. I you go south you hit Cyprus, and due east and you hit Armenia. All four of these countries are in Europe. Most of Turkey, including Ankara, is in Asia.

There seems to be no consensus on whether Armenia is considered to be in Europe or Asia. What made me think of this was the FIFA groupings.

Armenia is geographically in Asia but is a member of some European political organizations.

Turkey is also in UEFA.

A handful of countries mostly or entirely located in Asia are in UEFA - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Israel off the top of my head. Russia too if you want to include them.
