I slep til after 11 today. I won't be able to go back to work

Making pea soup. I'm making a ton (3 quarts of water and a bunch of ham, peas, celery, carrots, potato and onion) and I'm the only one in the house who eats it. Maybe I can get Lil' Vulture to try it this year. It's really good.

This is becoming more and more common in neighborhoods now, at least in Florida. They've been spotted in my parents neighborhood and my dad went outside one morning to find several pieces of a cat in the lawn.

Living in Arizona I expected to see more, was actually pretty surprised to see one where we live. Very heavily trafficked.

There are coyotes around here, too. It's weird seeing them in cities of like 100k people.

Cognitive, so thinky stuff, and dissonance which is pretty much the opposite of harmony. So it's having two or more thoughts/values/beliefs that clash harshly with one another. Like how most of us felt during the J-Roll trade limbo period. You know and believe that the Phillies needed to trade him and you know and believe just as strongly that he should never wear another team's uniform.

or a more mainstream example is global warming. With the mountains of evidence in support of the theory, some still choose to deny it, because that stance more closely matches their financial and/or ideological interests.
