There are surprisingly few things you can make in a crockpot easier/better than you can in your oven or on your stove. But for those things, crockpots can be pretty good.

They're cheap enough that they're a good investment if you do some pulled pork or chili even a couple of times a year.

I got a vacuum sealer for xmas and vacuumed up some steaks and put them in the sous vide. Thing is awesome. Set it to 132 and even though they were cheap flat irons, they were perfectly pink throughout. Probably gonna try some fish or pork in it next...possibly poach some eggs.

My kids got these maze toys for Christmas - it has four sliders that move several "gates" within the maze so that there are a total of 16 combinations, effectively 16 different mazes. Problem is, not a single one of them is solvable.
