Penn's landing skating yesterday was great. You can do a few turns to say you've deserved it, and then head straight to the lodge area, with fire pits, holiday lights synchronized to music, food areas and, best of all, a shot of whiskey to your coffee or hot chocolate ($7, which I thought was reasonable). Very nicely laid out, and even though it was pretty busy it did't feel all that crowded.

My wife went there Friday night, had a blast.

Going to a viewing tonight, funeral tomorrow for a friend form high school. We bonded over being completely self destructive and really into taking lots of drugs. I left for college and sobered up. He stayed home and got addicted to heroin. Sometimes you get lucky.

It sounds so stupid and cheesy but seriously be thankful for everyday you get. At 18 I didn't think I'd make it to 20.

coworker's ex-husband died for real this time. Everyone having a shitty week apparently.

I have a huge migraine and my coworkers are talking nonstop about taking care of elderly relatives that they took care of during hospice. Normally I could sympathize, but I'm ready to snap.
