I'm on the Amtrak train from DC now and in the cafe car there is what seems to be a full blown office Christmas party. Drunk people, food, even singing carols. Flabbergasted, I asked one of the people what it was and apparently this disparate group of people who take the 7:10 train frequently all know each other only through commuting and have an annual holiday party on the train together. It was bizarre, surprising and was surprisingly really endearing. Christmas rules.
