Listening to the WXPN top 885 countdown and they played Wonderful Tonight followed by Shakedown Street. Think both would have made my five worst list if i'd bothered to vote.

Still and all, Shakedown Street is notable because the Dead made a disco record, one of many poorly thought out attempts to cash in on what turned out to be a relatively brief moment in popular recorded music. Rod Stewart and the Rolling Stones did it more successfully than the Dead.

Almost hard to believe the Kinks made this record, and it received huge airplay on those AOR stations.

Trolling around the internet, a couple of Pink Floyd songs from The Wall are included as disco songs, which brings Pink Floyd fans out of the wood work like you wouldn't believe.
