Republicans believe administering the Heimlich maneuver is one step away from socialized medicine.

TV - that is incorrect, they heard Obamacare was going to take care of all things medical, but because of the website flaws there was no remedy available. #Obamacare #ACAWebsite #Deathpanel

You're confusing that with the Hinrich Maneuver.

Ouch on that. Not punny at all.

Was that Neil Funk, the former Sixers play by play guy? He's awesome...used to love hearing him call games..."Hawkins, three ball, uh-uh, back iron, Charles with the rebound..."
"Of all of Ruben's gifts, the ability to simultaneously punch 4 million people in the dick is probably his most impressive." Endless Summer

I really enjoyed McConnell's speech

There is nothing quite like the roles of majority and minority reversing on this fight to provide a treasure trove of past hilarious quotes

G.O.P. Maps Out Waves of Attacks Over Health Law

Mr. Cantor and Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, another member of the Republican leadership, have also leaned on all 231 House Republicans. A 17-page “House Republican Playbook” walks members through “messaging tools” like talking points, social media tactics and “digital fliers”; details lines of attack; offers up a sample opinion article for local newspapers; and provides an extensive timeline on the health care law and an exhaustive list of legislative responses that have gone nowhere.

the contrast between these National Enquirer-headline-level bullets and the article pac posted is instructive. One barks its marching orders at a pliant legion of drones; the other attempts to educate - at length - a pliant legion of people who usually have better things to do

I heard this podcast about Dr. Heimlich and some backstory about him. His son's website is quite a read. I'm not sure which Heimlich is the fraud, but the stories are interesting at least. http://medfraud.info/

Just met Governor-Elect Terry McAuliffe while having lunch with my wife and a former co-worker. (We were eating lunch in the cafeteria at the VA State Capitol.) He's actually an incredibly nice guy and had a fairly long, non-superficial conversation with us while he was waiting for his sandwich to be made.

And while we were standing there, CNN broke in with the story about the filibuster vote, so that was cool to witness his reaction to it. He was pretty surprised by it.
