The person renting it said it's very kid-friendly with a park nearby, but who knows.

Also, Sidecar.

I'm also interested in that area as I entertain dreams of a Philly pied a terre that my wife humors me about when drunk.

Went down a rabbithole and somehow got to an article about data suggesting a 40 mph human sprint is possible. (Usain Bolt runs 28mph)

Makes sense, Bolt would have been a mutant 100 years ago

That's about 40% faster than bolt though.

Right, and hes ridiculously faster than someone from a hundred or so years ago. And theres no time frame or prediction for this acccomplishment, just that its possible, in theory.

What's an appropriate cash gift for a wedding for someone you were never particularly close with and you've probably talked to 3 times in the past 5 years and likely will not see more than 3 times in the next 5. Also, going solo.

In 1891, the 100 meter world record was 10.8 seconds. Usain Bolt did it in 9.58 seconds. Now, I understand that 100 meter time and mph aren't exactly the same, but Bolt's record represents an improvement of about 10%. So, improving that by 40% would mean running the 100 meter is less than 7 seconds.

I'm not saying it's impossible, just that it's going to take a long time to get there. To be sure, it seems there's a new record every year or so.

i was just using 100 years as a long period of time. i should have used a longer period. again, there saying it's possible oat some point in the future. the way people train now and in the future will make the increases much faster than in more "recent" history.

I tracked down the article and, after I got sidetracked by the "seven amazing facts about the penis" one, found that basically it was saying that the human legs could survive being exposed to more force that then thought they could, which they had felt was a limitation on how fast humans could run. The only problem still to surmount was how to actually move the legs faster in order to approach this amount of force. That seems like quite a problem.
