But the collision on that is probably a pretty small fraction. I know when I dropped collision on my Malibu, it didn't really save me much money.

Might save, what, $300

that's some good beers, man

people generally overinsure most stuff, and paradoxically, fail to catastrophically insure other important stuff
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Doesn't "full coverage" mean comprehensive, which goes above and beyond collision/liability and covers any damage caused to the car by any means? When I paid off my cars I took the comprehensive coverage off but left liability and collision. I'm not worried about getting absent fixed on my old cars but if I get into an accident I want my cars to be fixed or be compensated for it.

whoops, i didn't mean to

i was saying something about don't you have to factor in what you'd pay for damaging other property, not just the value of your car

I'm pretty sure damage to other property is under liability. Remember, if the accident isn't your fault, the other party's liability insurance will cover you. Comprehensive would cover damage to your car that is your own fault, theft, and stuff like hail and tree limbs falling on your car.

Given that you need your car, the real advantage to the additional coverage may be the rental that you would get if you lost the use of your car. But as Doc Smooth pointed out, these aren't necessarily catastrophic losses. If you bought your insurance through an agent, it might not be the worst idea to discuss your coverage with the agent. And you never know--I've found it makes sense to shop around on insurance every couple of years--do you have renters insurance? You should. And you can probably get a discount if you combine coverage.

Combining coverage usually gets you a discount on the renter's insurance part and that's a few hundred bucks a year, so a 10% discount might save you $25 bucks.

Is there any protection against repeated false DYFS reports, or is government sponsored harassment cool now?

i forgot about the smell of baby puke for a long time. last Sunday night at dinner I caught a whiff of it from another table at the pho joint, and now i'm having flashbacks to it, along with the summer morning stench of city-prepared lunches for summer day camp attendees. the latter flashback came first; the former was a natural complement. when i get home i'm stuffing my face into my stinky spit- and rust-infused trumpet case so i can think of summer morning band practices instead.

Every time I have a moral dilemma in WAWa about whether to get a diet Mountain Dew, I think "Fuck it, Bucky is still kicking" and get it.
