According to reports, the tail of the plane fell off while trying to land. That'll do it.
Piss off.

emergency slides deployed, hopefully people got out

from the pix, it seems like both sings are there, aviation expert "speculating" tail hit the ground first based on the debris field and a "high nose" landing from another eyewitness account

If that guy has more pictures like that he needs to start considering different airlines.

I've flown Asiana Airlines before. My only memory... every stewardess (all were 20-something wimmins), even in economy class, was a smokin' hottie, so I assume hawtness is/was a requirement.

Korean Air has the hottest...if you fail to get hired by them...you then move to Asiana. But generally overall, both are really good airlines (minus this recent crash if it was due to pilot error)...great service etc.

A month and half ago I was looking at numerous vacation options and nearly booked a trip to New Zealand with a return leg through San Francisco today. That Sydney-San Francisco flight landed at 11:20 PDT, roughly 7-8 minutes before the crash.

FRIGGIN HOUSEFLY INVASION

all house lights are out except for the 2nd floor hallway light, so luckily they all congregated there. Quite a shock to see 20-30 flies on the light. Quick trip to Tarjay, and fogged the hallway and got most of 'em (yeah, yeah, I know, the ones out now). I also had to purchase fly paper for the first time in my life. It's pretty effective apparently. Had a fly stick to it while I was still unrolling it.

How do I figure out where they're coming from??? :q

Reports out of Brazil have slowly surfaced that an amateur soccer match on June 30 in the poor state of Maranhão, Brazil ended with one player stabbed to death and the referee decapitated by angry fans.

According to multiple reports citing police statements on the situation, 20-year-0ld match referee Octavio da Silva (pictured) showed 30-year-old player Josenir dos Santos Abreu a red card, which started a dispute between the two.

Abreu attempted to either punch or kick the referee, who retaliated by whipping out a knife and stabbing the player. Abreu died of his stab wounds on his way to the hospital.

In retaliation, friends and family of Abreu in the stands rushed the pitch and overwhelmed da Silva, lynching him and stoning him to death before quartering his body and decapitating him, placing his head on a stake.

An official statement from Valter Costa, police chief of Santa Ines in Maranhão, “Reports of witnesses have indicated some people that were in place at the time of the fact. We will identify and hold accountable all those involved. A crime will never justify another. Actions like this do not collaborate with the legality of a state law.”

The investigation is ongoing. Police apparently confirmed that an arrest has been made using videos of the lynching uploaded to social media.

Yeah but did they throw snowballs at Santa?
