yes. OMG IM SUCH A NERD! No, you're an annoying fan girl/guy with limited social skills. #$!&@ off.

A lot of people who think they're nerds are really hipsters. Stick a can of PBR in their hand and you won't know the difference.

i dont consider myself a geek but being a nerd is simply being really into a specific topic. you can be a car nerd, sports nerd, whatever. by that definition, most people are nerds at something.

the dumb part is thinking that big bang theory is an accurate portrayal of those into science fiction/comics. they're just hobbies like anything else, and ascribing social awkwardness or inadequacies to those that like those topics, or self-identifying as such, is pretty lame.

Hah! Looks like comment got deleted almost immediately.I wasn't unfriended, though.

People just aren't ready for my edgy comedy. I'm like Lenny Bruce without the strippers and dope.

yeah 5 bucks for 5 squares. more would have been nice i guess but 35 unexpected dollars is cool.

Interesting point.

He was really funny for a while. Smart and witty and stuff. Then he got all wrapped up into his legal problems and drugs and stuff and lost it. Some of his political stuff was interesting but not funny.

He died young, was the darling of the intellectual types and the celebrities who wanted to seem cool always talked about him like he was the most brilliant comic ever.

He was real hip. Influenced heavily by the beatniks and jazz and chorch and all that hippie stuff before there were hippies.

He was called a "sick comedian" by his critics. I guess 'cuz he cursed some.

The term nerd has evolved, no doubt. But there was a time when the term really did refer to socially awkward smart people. In those days, it had nothing to do with comic books or a lot of other things it's associated with today. See, for example, the film Revenge of the Nerds, where I don't think comic books or even science fiction feature prominently.
