I probably overreacted which I feel kinda bad about. I just really really hate meeting and having to talk with the family members of the guys I date. Unfortunately, I feel like I have to do it often as I date a lot of guys.

Well, he must have had some consciousnesses of this or he wouldn't have asked.

But I still think the thing to do is to say, "Sure, fine." If it sucks go ahead and speak up and resit it happening again. but saying no because you're afraid it will be awkward is a little wimpy.
