The most cash I've ever had in front of me was somewhere in the neighborhood of a quarter million. I worked in branch banking for a few years when I was younger, I did some grand openings for Commerce Bank in NYC back in like 2001/2002 and one day we took in massive amounts of cash, counted the vault at the end of the day and we had something like $260,000 in there. That was pretty bad-ass except for it not being mine. Most money I've had on me, my own division was $30,000. That was the day before I closed on my house. I had money at 2 banks and I brought a cashiers check from PNC to Commerce Bank (I didn't work there anymore at this point) and the fuckers wouldn't make it available in time for my closing the next day, so I went back to PNC, cashed the cashiers check and brought the cash to Commerce and deposited it.

Oh, crap, I forgot about my retail job - I was in charge of taking the bag to the bank every day. I definitely carried several thousand regularly, maybe as much as $10K.

Had a kid who is not in the sections I TA email me tonight asking for a grade on something. I wasn't just cc'd...it was an email to me. I've never met him before and have no way of giving him the answer to what he was asking. He also used u instead of you and ur instead of your in the email.

I would be scared shitless carrying around that much of my own money, even for just 5 feet. I start looking over my shoulder once I'm carrying over $80 or so.
