Sometimes, I wouldn't even sell them back because they offer was so ridiculous. I would just tell them no and then look for somone to give the book to.

Seems like it would be an order of magnitude or two more costly to actually create a textbook than say, your average novel though. Let's hear it for intellectual property rights!!

Dog is lucky the killer whale wasn't hungry although Orcas don't really eat humans or dogs.

One issue I have is that in poli sci, you'll have a new edition every two years, but they barely make any real revisions. However, Follet often claims that they can't get used copies of an earlier edition so I am prevented from using it, even though there are tons of old editions out there, often for a buck or two plus shipping.

My favorite publisher from a value perspective is Hackett. But they only publish in the humanities.

just out of curiosity, what are some of the titles you use?

McGraw Hill is like FOollett, theyre not going to spend money chasing down old editions, unfortunately, and not make anything off it.

Can't you just require the book, then let your students get the older/used one online? That's what happens a lot anyway

Edit: N/m, i guess its hard to communicate that to the student before the class starts

Wow. I always eat them un-toasted, since I was a kid. I rarely have them since they are toxic fake food, but I still like the way they taste. There are some health food brands of similar item.

Since most of my thread topics are random, I'll just put my quips and queries in here:

As most of you know, Tastycakes are not found much outside the Phila. area.

I first moved to Cally in the 80's in the LA area as I was attending Calif. Instit of the Arts for grad school. Small school with a cafeteria. For some reason, someone who had gone there or was connected with the school, got the cafeteria to order Tastycakes from Philly. They also carried the hostess product lines. When the Tastycakes showed up, not a single hostess product moved off the shelf. EVentually the Tastycakes would be all sold out and finally, and only then, did people buy the twinkie crap. I don't remember if they had ring dings or snow balls -- but I know they had Twinkies and other hostess crap.

So sweet to be in So Cal and grab a Junior or a Pie ...

kind of bored with a chick that i'm seeing has been sick for the past few days and now just waiting for my FWB to get off of work...

i just went through my wallet to clean it out and realized my condom in there is set to expire at the end of the month. i mean since i'm not rocking 7 or 8 inches, it should still be good until i go home for christmas?
