I always have some sort of snack cake in my cupboard. Typically it's either Devil Dogs or Coffee Cakes.

I don't want housh to feel bad either, but school stores don't really mark up textbooks very much, they come from the publisher at high prices and very limited discounts, since they know they have a captive market. I guess you could maybe say the mark up is high when they repurchase textbooks and sell them as used.

really depends. the b&n college bstores get a 30-32% discount, then mark them all the way back up to the real price plus more.

if you're not renting like soren, amazon is always the best way to go

That's higher than when i worked in that end of the business,but you won't find anything out there in retail with only a 30% markup besides gasoline. It wouldn't be worth selling it. There are virtually always better avenues than the school store for textbooks, though, true.

point being, it's more than 32%, and it's a college bookstore, where they don't really make money anymore. it's really an idiotic situation

Always hated reselling books to the college bookstore. I paid 400 dollars for this book at the beginning of the semester and am getting 68.29 back. fuck you
