Libya is Iran's "way to the sea", per Romney? Iran has a coastline.

Hmmm. Mark Shields sounds about ready to concede the election to Romney.

I'd be curious what Dajafi thinks of Obamas repeated education talking points which found to be outdated and underwhelming.

Also, I'm criticizing the President more than Mitt because the rest of you already have that covered and I don't have much to add to his shortcomings. Also, because I've been underemployed for 3 solid years, as someone with a fairly OK education and career background.

cshort wrote:I think Obama hurt him on the auto bit, but Romney was right about his op-ed

From the op-ed
The American auto industry is vital to our national interest as an employer and as a hub for manufacturing. A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs. The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.

Obama can't or shouldn't hurt him if he's going to continue to mislead people on Mitt's original message.

what private company was willing to bail them out? name ONE

Did you read the whole paragraph? Federally guaranteed financing goes a long way in the "free market." The bond debt was exchanging hands a lot leading into the auto bailout. I'm not sure why you're asking for 1 company when it wouldnt have been one.

i'm not sure who would have touched that? what exactly did romney propose that was so 'different' from obama except that he somehow thought that the company completely reneging on its debts was a good idea

This pie would be different if the Obama administration didnt overturn established bankruptcy law. Your inability to concede this point is eerily similar to conservatives claiming that Romney won this debate.

There was a sort of awesome story circulating in 2008 about a reporter working out in the suburbs of Pittsburgh who knocked on a particular door and a woman answered, and the reporter asked who she would be voting for. The woman said she'd have to ask her husband, which she proceeded to do, shouting into the house. He shouted back, "We're voting for the <I'm a stupid racist>."

The military still has plenty of bayonets by the way. We always left ours secure in the arms took. I think that's where all of them are to this day. Pain in the ass those things.

A lot of dumbfucks aren't so much dumbfucks but old and raised on this shit. Sorry, I'm just a little sensitive to this stuff after I went to a relative's house a few weeks ago (who arent particularly outwardly racist) and overheard them complaining about Michael Strahan being matched up with Kelly Ripa on TV.
