From the op-edThe American auto industry is vital to our national interest as an employer and as a hub for manufacturing. A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs. The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.
Obama can't or shouldn't hurt him if he's going to continue to mislead people on Mitt's original message.
what private company was willing to bail them out? name ONE
Did you read the whole paragraph? Federally guaranteed financing goes a long way in the "free market." The bond debt was exchanging hands a lot leading into the auto bailout. I'm not sure why you're asking for 1 company when it wouldnt have been one.
i'm not sure who would have touched that? what exactly did romney propose that was so 'different' from obama except that he somehow thought that the company completely reneging on its debts was a good idea

Also, I'm criticizing the President more than Mitt because the rest of you already have that covered and I don't have much to add to his shortcomings. Also, because I've been underemployed for 3 solid years, as someone with a fairly OK education and career background.

A lot of dumbfucks aren't so much dumbfucks but old and raised on this shit. Sorry, I'm just a little sensitive to this stuff after I went to a relative's house a few weeks ago (who arent particularly outwardly racist) and overheard them complaining about Michael Strahan being matched up with Kelly Ripa on TV.
