We're doing it, POLITICS style

All the annoying 'we're doing it' stuff aside, PPP and Gallup both going up to Romney +4 nationally is nothing short of extraordinary given where this race was a month ago.

Like I said a few days ago, Romney is the favorite.

No, he's not. The math still requires him to take a much larger number of the battleground states than Obama needs. Hence the reason Nate Silver still has him at 66% to win the electoral college.

Definitely not me. But a quick foray into any McMansion village will reveal them easier than shooting fish in a barrel.

He's gained 17 points in the now-cast in 7 days. I don't believe in momentum in baseball, but I sure do in politics.

Because we got thrown in the shitter for 8 years and we're STARTING to climb out of it; Romney would be a major step backwards. That and he's a fucking phony out of touch asshole.

Maybe I can borrow some money from my parents to help cover my student loan debt though.

The economy was a lot better under GWB for the majority of the time he was president than it is now. Not making causation arguments or anything, but the thrown in the shitter for 8 years bit is pretty off the mark.

GWB started with a much better situation. He managed to make it awful in 8 years. Good job?

Walked into the dot-com bubble popping and a recession. Things got better. Things got a lot worse. Hard to directly link most of the reasons things got worse to Bush administration policies, and things were prevented from getting catastrophically bad by TARP.

Acting like the Bush administration was 8 years of economic hell because of Bush administration policies and we're just now getting out of it because of Obama and electing Romney will automatically reverse that is inane.

I think she's more competent than Obama. She'd have done a better job at dealing with Congress. More results oriented. I think she has a greater sense of responsibility than Obama does. Being president is tricky and Hillary would have been able to skip a lot of the catching up/learning process due to her experiences from 1993-2001.

"More results oriented?"

I dunno - he got the single biggest piece of health care legislation passed since Medicare, got a stimulus bill through early, got a whole bunch of new regulations in place for Wall Street, and under his watch we got out of Iraq and got Osama Bin Laden.

It's been a war since the 2010 midterms, but I don't know how you can reasonably expect that Republicans in Congress would have been more ready to work with Clinton, unless you mean by "work with" that Clinton simply would have caved to more of their demands.

I mean, I know you don't like what he's done, but that doesn't mean he hasn't used the position to do anything.
