what more proof do you need?

I hate how the undecideds get so much attention. I think you almost have to be retarded to still be undecided at this point.

Biden reminds me of a guy from the US Chamber. You know he knows his stuff, but you keep worrying that he's going to try to light up a meeting room with a bunch of flip antics no one really likes.

A lot of undecideds are low information voters who don't care (or morons). But there are also a fair few who pay attention but are just ideologically misaligned with the two party system. If you're a social justice, prolife Catholic you've got a tough choice to make. If you're a small government libertarian who is vehemently pro-gay marriage you have a tough choice to make. Etc.

well, i watched most of the WA debate. think mckenna beat inslee pretty handily. both guys were calling eachother out a lot. mckenna seems like an okay guy outside of his right-leanings. he'd probably win office easily in almost any other state.

The company I do part time work for is based in Washington State, and a lot of their execs are McKenna folks. GOP hasn't won a governors race in Washington since 1980, which is the longest streak in the country by a good bit. Scanning through the states in my head (and checking with Wikipedia when I'm not sure) I think every other state has at least had one GOP governor post 1990.

McKenna seems like the superior candidate, but Inslee has been running a better campaign I think. Or at least this is what I've gathered from them. And it's a tough state for the Republicans to win (though it should not be that tough). It's also a weird, pro business state even among Dems (no state income tax...EVERYONE is free trade) like New Hampshire. So the state Dem Party isn't too lefty on economic stuff, which lets them keep winning on social issues.

A little bit of horn-blowing here, but very effective; remind me not to f*** with you on this sort of thing.

But I lied. Oregon hasn't had a GOP governor since 1987.

Something about that Pacific Northwest. Which is funny because federally these states are Democratic, but not that Dem.

WV is Republican for Presidentials (now), Dem for everything else (I'm sure not for long, and I understand why). What can you say, shit happens.

It is maybe worth pointing out that if there was ever a 'stolen' election since I've started following politics, it was the 2004 Washington Governor's race

hasn't WA been on a more liberal trend recently, though? i think a big part of it is your last point. people are really big on social issues here and even most the fiscal conservatives are pretty liberal on social issues for the most part.

I was thinking: isn't Biden's win in the debate more decisive just by the fact that he won, or at the very least it was supposedly too close to call? I've been hearing for weeks from family who support R/R that Ryan was going to wipe the floor with Biden, and that it would be downright embarrassing for him. Clearly, unless you're completely delusional, THAT didn't happen.

Not so weird; Probably a larger # of big-employer corporate hq in WA per capita than most other states (MSFT, AMZN, Boeing, Costco)
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I have no idea how a VP debate this late in a campaign could make you decide your vote.

@BrianPHickey: NEW #POLLING DATA: 100% of Republicans (margin of error: 0.01%)claiming Biden "bullied" Ryan also believe Gov. Christie is polite.
