The ones you post are of course excluded, which will leave... pictures of Obama looking sullenly at the podium?

Holy. #$!&@. That's a TON of Obama supporters saying Romney won.

Of course Romney won (and I'm an Obama supporter). What I find shocking is how 25% thought Obama won. If this had been a fight they'd have stopped it. No knockout blow, but Romney beat him to a pulp. I don't think Obama landed one square all night.

David Gergen on CNN said it looked like no one had talked to Obama like that in 4 years and that Obama was totally knocked off his game. I couldn't agree more.

I think Obama won on Obamacare and did marginally better on his tax plan.

I agree, but it seems like a huge stretch to think that will move non single issue voters. (Hence my point earlier about Florida, where the healthcare points presumably resonated more.) Overall Romney had a substantially better debate; if things moved, they moved in his direction.

Another reason for caution is that Romney, as part of his efforts to disarm Obama’s criticisms, made a number of policy concessions that could box him in and make it more difficult for him to govern as a limited government conservative if elected. At various times during the debate Romney said that he wasn’t interested in cutting taxes, particularly on the wealthy; that he would cover individuals with pre-existing conditions; that he wouldn’t touch Medicare and Social Security over the next decade and would be willing to give more money to seniors for prescription drugs; and that he’d be open to hiring more teachers. Should he be elected president, all of the major fights – repealing Obamacare, overhauling the tax code and reforming entitlements – will trigger a massive campaign by liberals to portray him as trying to hurt the poor to the benefit of the rich. If he is so willing to concede policy points during the campaign, will he fight for limited government as president?

This is probably where Obama should focus in the follow-up. The guy we saw tonight, a non-ideological problem solver, might be a good president in some respects. But that guy never could have gotten through a Republican primary, wouldn't have endorsed psychos like Steve King, and wouldn't have picked an uber-ideologue like Ryan to run with him.* So is the actual guy the one onstage or Mr. 47 percent? The bulk of the evidence since he left the governorship suggests it's the second.

*I guess it's possible that romney could have picked Ryan to neutralize him once in office, as JFK somewhat did with LBJ. You have a lot more control over your VP than a co-partisan in congress. This really would be four-dimensional chess, something to admire. But it feels like a stretch.

And Obama's going to balance the budget on the corporate jet tax loophole!

Over and over again, Mitt Romney would attack the President on general principles, then the President would say, in so many words, “well, the implications of that view are” and start listing policy implications, and Romney would retort: no, I don’t believe any of that, in fact that stuff you say I oppose is stuff I agree with, and that stuff you say I support is stuff I absolutely will not do.

...

But if you didn’t watch the debate, and read the transcript, what you’d see is the following. When Romney attacked, Obama generally had a policy response – some more persuasive than others, but the response was generally policy-related. When Obama attacked, Romney would generally deny that he took the position that was being attacked.

Just finished watching the debate. ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz...

I'm amazed Romney was able to keep a straight face when he claimed that he would not give the rich tax cuts. Obama seemed a little passive tonight but he appeared to be content to simply explain his policies going forward and to remind people that Romney's plans don't add up. Romney was a bit more energized but I'm just not convinced his policies are popular enough to change the voters' minds, particularly on Medicare, taxes, and healthcare.

Overall, one of the most boring debates I've watched.

It's funny but the one thing that most people on social media seem to be upset about is Mitt Romney's announcement that will de-fund Sesame Street. Honestly, it was a dumb thing to say.

If this were a prize fight, unanimous descision for Romney. Obama looked like he didn't train and was just trying to last the 12 rounds. I know debates are more difficult for the incumbant than the challenger, but it was like Obama didn't even belong in the ring tonight.
