All things good in MODERATION: Politics Thread

I'm finding that beer thing hard to believe--I don't believe Sam Adams is as Republican as Coors light, I don't believe Heineken is the most Democratic beer. I always figured Heineken to be like the leased BMW 3 series of beers, which I would consider skews Republican. And are the drinkers of MGD really that different from drinkers of Miller Light?

I was unaware of that. Their marketing with that Asteroid Galaxy Tour song seems really, really Caucasian.

Why is lager not on that? Thought it had a similar market share to Sam Adams

This is the other one I found hardest to believe. A slight Republican correlation, okay. But that far out?

Maybe it's because Sam Adams Octoberfest is my favorite mass-produced beer, so I'm prejudiced?

technically since most people don't vote shouldn't the hipster thing be to actually go out and vote?

I know this probably won't be the case just because the polls are so tough to move... but this Obama ad I linked to in the last thread feels like a kill shot to me.

what do you find so powerful about that ad, daj? To me a person in the middle is going to look at that and largely say they don't identify with the faces. The main exception might be those old veterans in there.

I usually don't appreciate ads like that which turn out to be really powerful/great, so I clearly know that I don't know.

The 47% video will be Romney's downfall. He wasn't doing that good before the video was released but it essentially confirmed what most Americans think of Romney.
