Saw on fb you went to Hawaii, did you do more than one island? My wife and I went to Kauai for our honeymoon, best two weeks of my life.

Oahu for four nights (Ko Olina) and Kauai for seven nights (Marriott Resort in Lihue).

Here's what I've Sussed out about it:

The pitcher is called a bowler. He gets a running start and can bounce it.

The batsman has to protect the wicket. If the bowler hits the wicket that batsman is out.

The batsman hits until he's out. He can hit a sixer, which is huge. A batsman can score 100 runs or even more. That's called a century.

There's something called an over -- I think that's like an inning.

when I was in England, I kind of figured out how to read the box scores.

India and Pakistan are both really good.

Gomez Adams used to like to smack a cricket ball around inside his house in that great TV show The Addams Family. It was pretty funny at the time.

I watched cricket while in college. There's tea in the middle. A lot of cricket players in N. America smoke weed. I don't think they play Cricket any more at the Seabright Lawn Tennis and Cricket Club. http://sltcc.org/ However, they do still play at the Merion Cricket Club. I'm not sure if they allow much weed smoking there.

American cricket is an odd game. I'm not sure many of the players active in the Philadelphia Cricket League would be offered membership at the Merion Cricket Club or the Seabright Lawn Tennis and Cricket Club.
