Wings+fries is 7.25. The wings meal (Wings+fries+drink) is 7.30. But I don't want the drink. So I'm saving a nickel. I wonder though--does the restaurant do better with me ordering the meal or not? Does the drink cost more than a nickel? I'd bet it's pretty close.

Actually the cost of the cup would put you over. If not a throwaway cup, then the price of soap.

Maybe they give you fewer fries or a fewer wing with the meal or something like that.

The order of fries was much bigger than you get with the meal. So it really is a better deal for me not to get the meal. I'd much rather have the extra fries than the drink for take out.

Classic pricing strategy is to charge way too much for something, then just a *little* lower for something less, thus making the original overpriced thing look like a great deal.

What is the monolithic groupthink on short-sleeved button-downs? Worn tucked in with khakis or slacks they make me think I need a pocket protector. But my wife bought me one last weekend to wear to work, so...

Personally I think they look good untucked with shorts (cargo shorts, of course PtK).
