what kind of chicken. how long did you leave it out? in the fridge or out in the open? i had chicken defrost in my fridge for about a week and it was still fine.

They were frozen chicken breasts. I left them out in the open (covered in saran wrap)...I don't know, definitely longer than 12 hours for sure. They were about room temperature maybe? I did smell them, but of course I thought they smelled bad (/PiP) since I was worried about it. But I think I'm alright. They've been consumed and so far so good.

youre going to die. 12 hours is a long ass time.

12 hours isn't bad. at my moms house we routinely did 12 hours

I figure anything less than a day out at room temperature is fine. I've left chicken out for 12 hours+ before and had no problem.
