Prof emailed the question for the 10-15 page essay we're supposed to write in Word with 1.25 inch margins

I don't think I've written anything with 1.25 inch margins since high school, but first pitch is at 5PM tomorrow, so they're staying 1.25 inches

1.25" margins are good for stretching out essays though. Hell, I use .15" margins on my work documents...

Courier 12 sucks up a ton of space too.

There is plenty to write about. It's comparing Dahl and Moore on state formation, paths to democracy, etc.

I wrote that paper. 21 years ago. I think the hard drive it was on fried. Or it might be on a 5 1/4 inch floppy somewhere.

The question however wasn't "e-mailed" to me. And I probably did use courier. Some people probably used a nine pin dot matrix printer, but not me. I had a 24 pin printer.

Taking up space. I usually do 14 and you can't really tell and it adds like 1-2 pages. It's sweet.

when I had a really old professor, or someone that wasn't really that concerned with details, I would go 13 or 14 with periods. A more attentive professor, 12.5

This professor also requires that, but he's already got the margins at 1.25 so I'm runnin with it
