Finally saw the aurora tonight. It was pretty awesome despite only being a faint one. Unfortunately, we had some clouds roll in right after my friend and I saw it and it was just a greenish glow the rest of the night.

Looking to refinance my house when I get back from Afghanistan in a month. Will save between 1.5% and 2% = phat loot for me and mine.

I mis-typed the address of this place just now as "backshegods.com"

This amused me for some reason.

Quick note on refi's. There is a government sponsored program called Making Home Affordable (MHA) that is available through June 2012 (but may be extended). The way it works is, if your loan is currently owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac then you can refinance showing no income or asset info, and there are no minimum credit requirements as long as your payment is going down, staying the same, or increasing by less than 20%. Your new loan can also go up to 105% of the value of your home and there is no PMI or piggyback loan neccessary as long as your current loan does not have PMI. There is no cash-out allowed by the program, so this is strictly for people looking to lower their rate/term or go from an ARM to a fixed, but just about everyone qualifies. If your loan is held by Wells Fargo, Bank of America/Countrywide, Chase, etc. and you are looking to refi, call them and ask about the MHA program, it really is a good deal.

Here is a link to the MHA website, specifically the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) that I described above.

I have serious doubts about it being sunny. The models have been terrible lately(/pip) and I think they're too quick to move out the crappy weather on Friday. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, I might be wrong because this weather pattern is GOOFY right now.

My in laws are already gonna be in my house when I get back home tonight. This makes me disproportionately unhappy. Can't take away my ease in.

wtf.... seriously!!!

this kinda reminds me about the story where my best friend and i were about 18 and drunk and he tells me the first time he masturbated was when he was 10. me, i was 13, and then i was pissed that for three years he totally held out on that quality information. those three years could've been so much better and i will never get them back.

so i hate to tell you this... just like my friend, your friends suck!

btw... i highly recommend corned beef too.

I've had corn beef. I like pastrami much much more. Next time I go to New York, I'll pay 18 bucks for a pastrami sandwich at Katz Deli and see what's what.

Corn beef sounds like it might be OK depending on how it is prepared

Corned beef on the other hand is delicious
