nah. Marriage ins't dumb. My wife pisses me off from time to time, but I wouldn't trade being married to her for anything in the world. She's my best friend, which I know is cliche, but I love doing stuff with her and I couldn't think of a better companion in life.

i never said that being in love and having a person to spend the rest of your life with is dumb. i said marriage is dumb.

there's something like 1,000+ benefits legally to being in a marriage. it's one of the (lesser) reasons gay couples want the right

Looking at renting this place. Probably an hour drive each way to work though. Any thoughts on propane appliances? I had no clue there was such a thing.

This seems PAINFULLY remote. Satellite Internet? That's for people without working bathrooms. And you get a long commute to boot?

I mean if you were already married and thought of it as a good place to raise kids, fine. But how on earth are you going to meet someone when you essentially go hermit?

The night out is going to be great Bill, if you can work that in like once a month or even once every two months, the money you pay towards babysitting will simply be the savings from divorce fees.

2nd Jeff's point on satellite internet, take a look at what that costs vs. what you get. I looked at it at one point when my only option was 1.5mbps down DSL for $40/mo. and it's more expensive and you get sloooow service, and a daily data cap of a couple hundred megs (comcast gives you 250 GB /month for comparison) . If you do netflix streaming, or MLB.tv well, you won't be able to on satellite.

Thanks Jeff, we're working on our cruise plans as well. My parents just got back from a disney cruise so we talked about that with them over the weekend, and she's good to go now. If we don't do that we are thinking Aruba, I brought up Europe, but she doesn't wanna go there, her parents are from Europe so she went a lot as a kid. Thanks for the advice, and I completely stole your point about the opportunity for us to bond with the new baby and enjoy her being pregnant etc. like we were able to do with our first.

I've been to a handful of major cities. Chicago ranks in the top 3 for me- right behind San Diego and LA.

The Chicago talent was outrageous, especially Lakeshore and the Wrigley bars. Not quite NYC-caliber stunners but much more receptive seeming

It would be both entertaining and cruel to have a piñata full of bees at a children's party.

I like being married. It has its ups and downs, no doubt. But it beats the shit out of the relationship drama commonly posted here on BSG.

Yea I just got the address off the guy. It's really out there. I'm looking at a place in a similar area that's on the grid. I'm willing to do the commute in order to get a place that isn't the size of a box or in some shitty, lifeless complex. Plus I'd prefer not to live in the horrible urban sprawl portions of the peninsula.

I'm having a hard time understanding this myself, but tits above medium-sized just aren't for me

we actually had a great date, but I'm just not especially feeling her, so I'd rather nip it in the bud than string her out

I don't think a second or even third date need to be so goal oriented that agreeing to one counts as stringing her along. And you really can't tell anything from a first date. I mean, fireworks and shit--that's not real and even if it were, it really isn't the basis for a long term relationship.

This, well maybe the thing where someone referenced Housh eating cheese, would be exhibits A and B in the "ish that needs to stop post haste".

My Dynasty League team is doing great. I loaded up on guys from the Western Han Dynasty. Emperor Ping and Emperor Wu kick ass.

I started a fantasy keeper league. I don't even know if anyone else even joined, but if you ever saw my fantasy keepers you'd know why.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can
