My next-door neighbors on both sides have each lost adult children tragically in the last few years. One died of an accidental overdose of prescription painkillers a few years ago; the other apparently liked to sit up on her roof to get some peace and quiet and think; last week she fell asleep and fell off.

I've been to a handful of major cities. Chicago ranks in the top 3 for me- right behind San Diego and LA.
