About 2-3 years ago they switched to this awful pre-cooked stuff. It used to be a lot better. Soft pretzels are anothe example. They're pretty bad now, whereas they used to be world-class.

According to my one friend, they changed who they got their soft pretzels from and they became pretty awful, but more recently they switched AGAIN and are supposed to be good now.

Wawa's pretzels are pretty good in my opinion. I think the H'd one is correct

I feel like the pretzels at Philly Pretzel Factory locations are always soft and fresh and so much better than anywhere else, I don't really mess around with others

could be wrong, though, haven't tested the theory in a while

I agree. I'll get the 10 for $5 or whatever it is and take 'em home and freeze them. If you leave them in the paper bag and put it in the freezer like that, they stay fresh for a few weeks at least. I'll usually seperate them before I freeze them, makes it easier if you just want one.

I worked with a lady who would bring those for the whole staff every Thursday. It would cause such commotion that we overlooked her being a $70/hour proofreader who was bad at proofreading.

I agree--their party tray pretzel sticks are the stuff of legend. And also because my cousin owns a Philly Pretzel Factory.Unfortunately there isn't one convenient to me, though. Well there is one in downtown Phoenixville but I'm not parking my car 3 blocks away and walking just to get a dumb soft pretzel. Put that shit in a strip mall FFS.
